Haha, Tea party yesterday was pretty fun, my happy streak has been going on longer than I thought it would.I wish I could get all this hw done so that I could enjoy the other aspects of my life that are moving so well right now. But enough of that, SONG OF THE DAY TIME!!

The song of the day, is Foundations by Kate Nash, I'm not really obsessing over it today but I think it fits my current mood/life state. I really good friend turned me onto it, and its really a jem. As far as Love songs go, its different because its a more complete and realistic view of love. I don't know if its cause the song is british, but if thats true, we americans can learn something from them as far as music goes, American love songs are usually only concentrate on one side of love at a time, we are either "Crying our eyes out" to song that is overly depressing or we're supposed to be "melting" to the idealized and unrealistic notion of love that is being presented. Hey if it ain't broke don't fix it right? Personally i can only take this for so long, its so condescending to believe that the public will only welcome a song if it is marginalized to the point that it it has lost all its complexity. Okay rant over, back to the song. Like I said, the whole story is brings out is dynamic, you can tell this is a real couple, constantly walking the fine line between loving and hating each other. The verses run in this conversational tone that brings the entire song back to earth, the final verse epitomizing that realism "God I hope I'm not stuck with this one". I don't really have much to grippe about this song, maybe, I would prefer that Kate Nash not sound exactly like Lily Allen on many of her other songs because this one proves that she is very much capable of inspired original material. All in all if you want something new and original check this out.
